Current projects:
At Pure Hope School we strive for excellence in our teaching, but also in the upkeep of our facilities and classrooms.
Here is a list of our current needs that needs attention. Any help with these projects will be highly appreciated.
Project 1:
Tiles in front of Gr. 2 and 3 classes.
Description:
Some of the tiles in front of our Gr.2 and 3 classes was damaged and removed, but urgently needs to be replaced because the lack of tiles can cause children and teacher to fall and water that can now seep in is causing further damage.
How can you help?
- Sponsoring of tiles
- Sponsoring of tile cement and equipment needed to replace the tiles.
- Helping to cut and lay the tiles.
Project 2:
Sand for sand pit
Description:
Our sandpit is a source of a lot of joy and fun for our pre-school learners, but some of the sand, do get lost over time (due to all the fun they are having). Currently the sand needs to be replaced.
How can you help?
- Sponsoring of river sand
- Sponsoring of delivery for the sand
- Help to put the sand into the sandpit after it has been delivered.
Project 3:
Shade at our preschool and Gr.1 – 3 play area.
Description:
The awning at our preschool was damaged during a storm last year and the “shade net” had to be removed. We wish to replace that with steel as it provides better shade and will last for longer. The play area for the Gr.1 – 3 learners also do not offer any shade.
How can you help?
- Expertise on possible solutions for shade at the Gr. 1 – 3 play area.
- Sponsoring of material of fixing of the awning at the Pre-school play area.
- Sponsoring of work to build a new awning or steel roof.
Project 4:
Paving or grass at the pre-school
Description:
There is a small strip of grass at the pre-school that doesn’t want to grow because it is the route the teachers and children use to walk every day. An 8m strip of paving is required. To replant grass will also be an option.
How can you help?
- Sponsoring of material needed to do paving
- Sponsoring labour to complete the project.
- Sponsoring of topsoil and grass
- Planting of grass.
